Albert Thakadiyil
June 8th, 1938 – September 15th, 2024
Our Dearest Dad, Albert Thakadiyil, peacefully passed away to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the age of 86 surrounded by his wife and children.
Dad was a handsome and devoted husband to Ammini Thakadiyil of 52 years, son of T.K. John & Chinnamma of Thiruvalla, India and brother to 5 siblings survived by loving brother ~ Joseph John and family. He was a loving father to sons ~ Philip, Paul (Shina), and Peter (Sandy), and doting grandfather to Alyssa, Leah, Justin, Christian, Alexis, Gabriella, baby Luke, and Emmanuel who were his pride and joy. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Dad migrated to the United States in 1966 and later became a proud resident and one of the founding members of the St. Louis Indian Catholic Community for 40+ years. He was highly educated in theology and had a vocation in social services. He was also an avid reader, amateur photographer, and global traveler.
Dad was a remarkable man who loved to tell stories, laugh, and live life to the fullest. He imparted this faithful and joyous love of life to everyone he met and was, in turn, deeply cherished. He was engaging, charismatic, respected, and adored by family and friends. One cannot forget the constant banter and treasured love that Dad and Mom shared.
Although, we will forever miss Dad's deep philosophical talks, endearing hugs, and his faithful sign of the cross on our foreheads…we take comfort knowing that he is resting in eternal peace with his loved ones and with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
We love you so much! Till we see each other again…hugs and prayers!
