Obituary

Allan D. Crossan, 53, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026. He was born on January 11, 1973, to Larry and Suzanne (Rayfield) Crossan. Dear father and friend to Simone (Michael) Woefler, and Sydney (Curtis) Ver Mehren, Beloved granddad to Lily and Lola Woelfer; and dear brother to Chad (Elaine) Crossan.

Allan was a man defined by kindness, generosity, and an unfailing positive spirit. To know him was to feel encouraged—he had a gift for lifting others up, often without even realizing it. He believed in people, rooted for them, and made the world feel a little lighter just by being in it.

He was a proud Navy veteran, having served six years with dedication and honor. His military service reflected the same strong work ethic and loyalty that guided his entire life. He carried those values into his career, approaching every responsibility with integrity, perseverance, and pride. He earned the respect of those he worked with by consistently showing up, doing things the right way, and standing by his commitments.

He found joy in life's simple pleasures and shared them freely. A deck of cards was never just a game—it was an invitation to laugh, connect, and linger a while longer. Music was another language of his, especially when he picked up his harmonica, filling rooms with melodies that reflected his easygoing soul. He delighted in performing magic tricks, always chasing that moment of surprise and wonder on someone else's face.

Above all, he treasured time with his granddaughters, who were the light of his life. Whether teaching, playing, or simply being present, he made them feel deeply loved and endlessly important.

He enjoyed discovering new things—new ideas, new skills, and especially new whiskeys, which he sampled with curiosity and enthusiasm. He loved grilling, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, and never stopped learning, always eager to know more today than he did yesterday.

His legacy is not just in the memories he leaves behind, but in the encouragement he gave, the kindness he showed, and the love he so naturally shared. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were lucky enough to know him.

He was a dedicated member of the Loyal Order of Moose, reflecting his belief in community, fellowship, and helping others. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Moose Charities in his honor.
