Anne Burdett Cook
June 18, 1950 – July 26, 2025
With deep love and sadness, we share the passing of Anne Burdett Cook, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, teacher, and friend. Anne was born on June 18, 1950, to John and Florence (nee Heckethorn) Jamieson, both of whom preceded her in death.
Anne was the heart of her family and the light in many lives. She shared nearly 54 years of marriage with her husband, Lynn Cook, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished traditions. She was a proud and loving mother to Aaron (Timeri), Adam, and Elizabeth Cook, and a doting grandmother to Aidan, Raelie, and her sidekick, Jamieson, with whom she shared an especially close and special bond.
She is also survived by her sister, Susan (Bill) Meyer; her children, Scott, Alex, and Jamie; and her grandchildren, Maggie, Addie, Will, Drew, and Ben. She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, all of whom will forever carry her spirit with them.
Anne dedicated over 30 years of her life to teaching at Our Lady of Guadalupe School. She was more than an educator—she was a mentor, a friend, and a guiding light for countless students and colleagues. She brought passion, joy, and deep commitment to her work, always putting the children and the community first.
A constant source of unconditional love, a thoughtful listener, and a devoted family matriarch, Anne cherished time spent with loved ones above all else. Whether it was movie nights, cheering Jamieson on in sports and school, or celebrating holidays in matching pajamas, she knew how to make ordinary moments unforgettable.
Her kindness, wisdom, and warmth will be remembered always. She leaves behind a legacy of love, learning, and laughter that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A celebration of Anne's life will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 1115 S. Florissant Rd, St. Louis, MO 63121.
