Ayoub
Assad
January 20, 1948 – July 25, 2025
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Ayoub Assad.
Ayoub Assad, age 77 of Saint Louis, MO, passed away peacefully on July 25th surrounded by loved ones.
Born on January 20th 1948 in Cairo, Egypt. Ayoub lived a life rooted in faith, intellect, and quiet devotion. He was known by those closest to him as a man of great intelligence, a voracious reader, and someone who approached the world with curiosity and compassion. His sharp mind was matched only by his deep commitment to God, which shaped not only his beliefs but the grace with which he lived and the way he brought up his children.
Ayoub is survived by his wife, Hoda Assad née Habib, son Hany Assad (Noha), daughter Miriam Tinker (Kyle). Grandchildren Joselynn Tinker, Joshua Assad, Jeremy Assad. Sisters Renee Assad and Amal Assad and a circle of family who cherished him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents Fahmy and Elaine Assad and his sister Cecil Assad.
A man of deep thought and steady conviction, he held numerous high-ranking positions in finance and accounting. He earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike for his integrity, sharp mind, and disciplined leadership. His talents extended far beyond the boardroom. An avid reader and a man of profound devotion to God, he nourished both his mind and his spirit throughout his life. In his free time, he found peace and purpose in carpentry, building things by hand, and solving problems with a craftsman's touch. He never met something he couldn't fix — be it a broken chair, a tricky financial puzzle, or someone's troubled heart.
