Obituary

Barbara Schnaible (nee Lee) baptized into the hope of Christ’s resurrection Fri. Sept. 11, 2026. Beloved wife of Robert E. Schnaible; dear mother and mother-in-law of Jackie (Brian) Bub, Kara (Jason) Jones and Debbie (Christopher) Tate; dear grandmother of Brandon, Ethan, Matt, Bishop, Deacon, Avery and James; dear sister of the late Noel Lee, and the late Carol (Warren) Duane and sister-in-law of Chuck, Tom (Leslie), and Ed (Annie) Schnaible; our dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.

Born on June 12, 1949 in Chicago, Barb lived a life defined by determination, strength, and devotion to her family. She graduated from Loyola and went on to build a fulfilling life centered around her family. She touched countless lives through her generosity, warm heart, and unwavering support for those she loved. Barb spent her life supporting her loved ones and making sure everyone was taken care of.

More than anything, Barb was a devoted mother. She poured her heart into raising her children, teaching them proper grammar, honesty, and independence. Her home was always filled with laughter and the smell of the great Chinese food she was cooking. She welcomed everyone with open arms. In her free time, she loved baking, reading, gardening, and playing games.

Those who knew her will remember her beautiful smile, quick wit, love for animals, sense of humor, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished above all else.

While our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in the memories she created, the lessons she taught us, and the love she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us everyday."
