BLAINE THOMAS STONE BORN: MAY 10, 1939 DIED: APR. 20, 2022
Survived by his wife of 19 years, Clara (DeeDee) Banocy Stone and three sons, Dean Stone, Steven
Stone and David Stone (Jana) and three grandchildren, Audrey, Bradley and Wesley Stone and three step
daughters, Ellen Menke (Jim), Kathleen Bilyeu, Christy Kuehn.
Blaine was a graduate of St. Louis University as an aeronautical engineer and Missouri S & T. with a
Masters degree in engineering management.
Blaine served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1965.
He was a native of Cleveland Ohio and worked in his early years at the NASA location in Cleveland now
Glenn Research Ctr. However most of his career was as a Systems Analyst for the Dept. of the U.S.
Army in St. Louis, MO
He retired in l996 when that installation was moved to Huntsville AL. His passion for over 45 years was
Motocross racing which he continued well into his seventies, He also enjoyed running and tennis, and in
his retirement years in addition to continuing these he returned to model airplane building and flying and
resumed his playing of the violin. He was also an indepth reader of Theology and History.
His funeral will be through Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home and be held Wed. April 27, at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church at 808 N. Mason Rd. in Creve Coeur with visitation at 10 am, Eucharist Service at 11:00 with
Burial to follow in the Church Columbarium. Luncheon will be served immediately following in the
church hall.
