Bobby E.
Breckle
October 15, 1950 – February 22, 2026
Bobby E. Breckle of Pacific, MO, passed away February 22, 2026 at the age of 75. He was born October 15, 1950 to the late Edwin Breckle and Oneda Lary. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Melanie Rose and sister, Glenda Warmack.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby (Sheila) Breckle Jr. and Michael (Rachel) Breckle; five grandchildren, Yasmine, Justin, Paige, Arlo and Colin; three siblings, Bruce (Linda) Breckle, Barry (Gail) Breckle and Phyllis Breckle; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Bob was drafted and proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Before his retirement, he worked in a leadership role overseeing production operations at Double G. Ham.
Throughout his life, he put the needs of others ahead of his own and was ready at a moment's notice to offer his time and financial support to anyone requiring it. That kindness was not reserved just for family, but also extended to how he treated others around him with respect, compassion, and general human decency.
He had a passion for reading, especially science fiction, and was a self-taught lifelong learner who loved sharing what he knew or what he had recently read. That passion extended to the importance he placed on knowing what was happening in the world through the paper, TV, and especially the radio during long drives to work. Beyond these hobbies, he loved music from the 50s up through the 90s, and it didn't take more than a mention of a song before he would begin to sing it with that distinctive smile he had. He dabbled in many other hobbies but focused most of his energy on his family and work.
Nothing brought more joy to Bob than his family, and he held in high regard the importance of maintaining those connections and communicating with extended family to share stories and, more importantly, memories. He was always eager to join his family at Thanksgiving or during family reunions and would often be one of the last to leave. He also brought joy to others at these gatherings because he was never too proud to be vulnerable and join the kids and play with them between conversations with the adults.
While raising his children as a single parent, he worked hard to provide stability while navigating challenges that arise in life and work. It was always difficult to balance between both, but Bob was always capable of reflection and admitting his mistakes. He recognized that growth can come from these lessons if we can be honest.
In life, he served as a positive example of many of the traits that make a good human being, and in death, the stories of his life will provide comfort when the nights are long and we feel sadness for our loss.
