Carol Morgan of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away Monday February 7, 2023, at the age of 84.

Beloved wife of 44 years to the late Ernest Morgan; cherished daughter of the late John and Florence Alsop; sister of the late John (Pat) K Alsop Jr and Dudley (Kathy) Alsop; dear mother of the late Thomas (Linda) Morgan, Sr., Patricia (Tim) Hartsfield, the late John 'Jack' Morgan, Kathy (Barry) Curneal, and Mary Morgan Hanke; proud grandmother of Thomas (Dawn) Morgan Jr., Daniel (Mallory) Morgan, Kayla Morgan, Nicholas Bradford, Christopher (Erin) Bradford, Scott Branam, Sarah Branam, Blake Harper, Tiffany (Jonathan) Ward, Tori Hanke; loving great-grandmother of McKenzie Massey, Layla Ward, Owen Ward, Simon Ward, and Sebastian Ward, Thomas Morgan III and Lincoln Morgan, Alycea Branam, Anastasia and Alyssa Bradford, and Noah Morgan.

Carol was born on July 30,1938 in Pine Lawn, Missouri and baptized into Hope's Resurrection of Christ. She and her husband Ernest were married on June 2, 1956 at Our Lady of the Presentation. Carol spent 30 years working for St. Vincent DePaul Hospital caring for children in the psychiatric unit on the overnight shift. She loved her job and the opportunity to mentor young kids. Upon retirement, Carol continued with her love of children by taking in her grandchildren for after school care and also provided a home for children in the foster care system. Not only was this her passion for her family, she also loved and cared for the many friends of the family as her own. She adored animals and always had them as companions throughout her life. She was a natural caregiver to many and will be dearly missed by all.

Funeral from Ortmann's Funeral Home, 9222 Lackland Road St. Louis, MO 63114 Friday, February 10 at 9:30 in the morning to Our Lady of the Presentation Church for 10:00am Mass. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation at Ortmann's Thursday February 9 from 4pm-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
