Spener, Charles Joseph, Jr. "CJ" June 8, 1934 – December 5, 2022. A
lifelong St. Louisan, he was predeceased by his parents Charles Joseph, Sr.
and Helen E. Spener (nee Bensinger).
Devoted and loving husband to Marcia "Sue" (nee Hubert) for over 68
years; eldest brother to Richard (Toni), and Daniel (Nina) Spener. Preceded
in death by daughter, Cheri Suzanne Favier, (James), father of Mimi Colette
Spener Holder (Dave); beloved grandfather of Jeannine Favier Vaske (Jeff),
Benjamin Favier (Leslie), Brian Favier (Michele), Christopher Favier,
Brianna Holder Brennen, (Tyler), Logan Holder, Chelsea Renee Holder
(deceased) and Valerie Holder; great-grandfather "MorePapa" to Mason,
Madison, McKenzie and Makayla Vaske; Cheri, Theodore, and Vivienne
Favier.
Owner of Spener Restaurant Design, SRD, a prominent restaurant design
and equipment business, CJ was recognized by his signature Stetson above
his tall frame. He was a loyal member, director, and advocate for Beta Theta
Pi, Zeta Phi chapter.
He will be remembered for his extraordinary kindness and love not only to
his family but to his wide circle of friends and acquaintances
