Obituary

Connie (Constance) Caputo lost her hard-fought battle with cancer Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the age of 59 in the comfort of her home in Overland, MO. She was surrounded by family & friends.

Connie was born on May 31, 1960 to Charles and Rosemary Caputo (Paul). She grew up locally in Ferguson and attended McCluer High School. Connie raised two children, Daniel and Sarah.

She is preceded in death by her love of 18 years, John Woods, brother, Michael Caputo and German Shepard, Blu. She is survived by her father and mothers, Charles Caputo, Rosemary Paul and Imogene (Opal) Woods; brothers and sisters, Matthew Caputo, Patricia Caputo, Kenneth Woods, Linda Woods, Patrice McDaniel (Woods), Sue Fogerty (Woods), James Woods and Carla Caputo; children Daniel Caputo and Sarah Caputo; grandchildren, Dylan and Luca; many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Growing up, Connie could be found with her family and friends roaming around Ferguson. She was small, feisty and had the best sense of humor (with a hint, or maybe a ton, of sarcasm). Her incredible laugh, smile and energy for life was infectious to all around her. Her love of classic rock bands was evident by her wardrobe, music collection and ticket stubs saved from many live shows she attended throughout her life. No doubt, she's still rocking out Pink Floyd, Allman Brothers, Tom Petty and CCR. Connie had a love for wildlife, camping, four wheeling and floating down rivers with a case of Busch beer in her pseudo second home, Steelville, MO. She had a knack for planning & details, which was carried through to her career in International Shipping & Logistics and trips to Florida where she also enjoyed shelling beachside. After she met John, she developed a strong passion for Harley Davidson. They spent many weekends riding with their friends all over the Midwest. Connie was surprisingly quite crafty - typically she was a woman always on the move! She made beautiful quilts & cross-stiches, and recently started making jewelry.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, acquaintances, and all who knew her.

Please don't cry because I am gone, instead be happy that I was here. Life is short, enjoy the ride.
