Conrad H. Philipp, Jr. Saturday, March 16, 2024; fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, died peacefully with his family at his side. Beloved husband of the late Emma Jane Philipp (nee Nordman); son of the late Conrad H Philipp Sr. and Elizabeth (Albers) Philipp; dear father of Conrad H. (Martha) Philipp, III, Christopher A. (Michelle) Philipp, Mary Kathleen (David) Ruiz and Carl D. (Jill) Philipp; dearest grandfather of Marie (Tyler) Branneky, Chase Philipp, Cole Philipp, Grace (Peter) Broeder, Fr. Clark Philipp, Matthew (Elisa) Ruiz, Mary Jane (Joshua) Gray, Carter Philipp and the late Clayton Philipp; dear great-grandfather of Tessa and Annie Branneky and Otto Broeder; dear brother of Jeanette Travers, Elizabeth (the late Bob) Duffy, and the late Charles (Joyce) Philipp; our dear uncle, great-uncle, brother-in-law, cousin & friend.
Conrad attended St. Engelbert Parish School and was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School class of '51, served in the Army for 2 years and attended Rankin Technical School. Conrad worked for over 37 years and served as vice president for Climate Engineering Corporation. He served as president of the Sheet Metal Contractors Association. After retirement Conrad dedicated his time and talents to St. Ann Catholic Church in Normandy and to the Shrine of St. Joseph as a member of the Board of Directors as well as the building committee. Conrad was deeply committed to all his family whom he cherished and to his many friends. He passed on his passion for boating to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Services: Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann Catholic Church, 7530 Natural Bridge Rd., Normandy, MO 63121 on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. with visitation at church 1 hour prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Ann's Church or the Shrine of St. Joseph , 1220 N. 11th Street, St. Louis, MO 63106 preferred. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
