Dallas G. Wetzler
July 7, 1937 - June 5, 2024

Beloved husband of Sandra Wetzler (nee Myers); dear father and father-in-law of Brent (Lisa) Wetzler and Brad (Kelly) Wetzler; loving grandfather of Kole, Alec, Chase and Bailey Wetzler; dear brother of the late Sharon (late Paul) Ritter; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, great-great-uncle, cousin and friend.

Dallas was a graduate of Normandy High School and Washington University and worked for many years as an engineer at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing, where he received several patents for his work on programs such as Skylab. Dallas was also a constant tinkerer and, in his family's eyes, a pooper-scooper pioneer.  In 2023, he was inducted as a basketball player into the Central Methodist University Sports Hall of Fame.  Dallas enjoyed traveling with his beautiful bride of 64 years, and also savored many a good meal, being particularly fond of Ruiz, Ted Drewes and the family Thanksgiving spread.  He deeply loved his entire extended family as well as he and Sandy's long-time friends…and he was deeply loved in return.  He had strong faith in the Lord as well as in his motto that "If you think you can or if you think you can't you are absolutely right". He will be missed by many.

Services at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, on Wednesday, June 12th. Visitation from 10:30 am -12:30 pm with funeral service at 12:30 pm.   Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at heart.org , or I n Touch Ministries (Dr Charles Stanley) at intouch.org .
