Daniel Dean Brock, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024, in St. Louis, Missouri. Born on February 8, 1961, in Elwood, Indiana, he was the son of the late Rose Alice Davis and Bobby Brock.

‍Dan graduated from Elwood High School in 1979.  Following high school, he lived in Colorado where his son Daniel Brock was born. He ultimately settled in St. Louis, Missouri, where he met Mary Jo Barry. They would marry in 1991 and enjoy 33 years of wedded bliss.

Dan worked his way up in the banking security industry over a successful 30 year career.

He was a devoted husband and loved being a father and Papa.

Dan enjoyed making his famous sausage biscuits and gravy, chocolate pudding pie, and grilling for family meals. He was known for his love of cars, classic rock music, watching Cardinals baseball and playing cards at the casino. Dan also cherished the time spent with all of his grandchildren.‍

Dan was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Vic Davis.  He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jo Barry, his son Daniel Brock (Kaci) and grandson Jaxon, and his stepchildren, Tina (Ray) Cox, Steve (Kim) Barry, Mike (Melissa) Barry, Rick (Amy) Barry, Tom (Andrea) Barry, and Greg (Misha) Barry and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The service to honor Dan's life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 11a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church – Des Peres, Missouri – with visitation preceding at the church starting at 9 a.m.  In remembrance of Dan, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the SSM Health Foundation.
