David J. Lesicko, age 62, of Maryland Heights, MO, passed away in his home on Monday, March 6, 2023. He was born in Decatur, IL, on April 20, 1960, to the late Michael J. and Maureen M. (Meyer) Lesicko. David is survived by two beloved sons, Michael and Andrew Lesicko, both of Missouri, as well as former wife, Mary (Beckmann) Schafer, three siblings, Mary Beth (Keith) Mobley of Godfrey, IL, Timothy J. (Teresa) Lesicko of Maryland Heights, MO and Maureen A. (Tim) Donaho of Collinsville, IL, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dave grew up primarily in the Wood River, IL area and graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in Alton, IL. He was a graduate of Ranken Technical College and also successfully completed several Microsoft certification courses.  He was employed as a computer technician for 25 years at American Family Insurance Company. David enjoyed attending Cardinals games -especially with his mother and sons, collecting baseball cards, spending time at Lake of the Ozarks, playing cards with friends and taking his chances on a good horse or sports bet. He had a great sense of humor and liked to share pictures and jokes with his family and friends. He was known to many by his nickname "Weedo".

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother:  Dan M. Lesicko.

Funeral services will be at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur on Saturday, March 11 at 4 p.m. with visitation from 2 p.m. until time of service. The celebration of David's life will continue immediately following the service.

The family request memorials to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
