Deborah "Debbie"
Lynn Stueckel
July 19, 1962 – March 29, 2025
Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Stueckel (nee Morabito)
Debbie passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025 while surrounded by her loved ones after a long courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Rick Stueckel; her daughter Alexandra Grempler (Brett); loving Gigi to her Grandson, William; sister to Patricia Morabito of Mount Kisko, NY; cousin and friend to so many. Debbie was born on July 19, 1962 in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Preceded in death by her father Samuel Morabito and mother Janet Morabito (Russo) and her loving grandmother, Nana Louise Russo.
She spent her childhood through her 20's in Briarcliff Manor, NY, where she made many lifelong friendships. And a very special lifelong friendship with Lisa McCullagh. In 1984, Debbie earned her B.A. degree in Communication from Southern Vermont College in Bennington, VT. Following graduation, she took a job with Sunburst Communication in Pleasantville. NY.
On June 30, 1990, she married her husband Rick, in Arlington, VT and soon thereafter, moved to St. Louis, MO. After the birth of their daughter Alex, she began working part time retail at the Benetton store at Plaza Frontenac. Always intrigued by high-end fashion, she transitioned to retail as a career with stops at Coach and Cole Haan. In 2004, she was recruited by Louis Vuitton to be the Shoe Manager in the new store they were building in St. Louis. Within a few years she became the Store Manager. In her 21 year career with LV, Debbie and her team oversaw several expansions and put the brand in the forefront of high-end fashion in St. Louis. Many of her clients became lifelong friends and supported her through her health challenges of which her family is forever grateful.
The family wants to extend special thanks to the St. Luke's Oncology Clinic at St. Luke's Hospital. Dr. Michael Ogawa and his team of nurses and techs provided Debbie with the utmost compassionate care in her four and a half year journey. Of which we will also forever be grateful.
Visitation will be at Ortmann-Stipanovich Funeral Home (12444 Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur, MO 63141) on Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm.
