Dennis Paul Touchette, born on August, 18, 1944, was welcomed into heaven on Friday morning, July 26, 2024 - three weeks away from his 80th birthday.

Dennis was a highly accomplished athlete, being the first person to ever accept a full scholarship to a Division I NCAA school from Columbia, Ill High School. He was also a fixture in his community as a dentist to countless patients for more than 40 years throughout the St. Louis/Spanish Lake, MO area. But his greatest joy and ability was his capacity for giving – particularly of his time and knowledge. He was well-known in the Our Lady of Loretto, St. Monica, and Incarnate Word parishes as a knowledgeable and passionate basketball coach - at times coaching all three of his children's basketball teams at the same time in the same season. He continued to share that passion with his grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews, and even with various parish teams who simply needed a coach. He was a devoted father and husband who was also able to adapt to the changes life brings. This was no more evident than by witnessing him discover a love for karaoke in the past 5 years. This coming from a man who has owned one 8-track tape his entire life. He directed his passion into this hobby later in life and grew his circle of friends in that community as well.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy June Touchette (nee Renner) and is survived by children Bradley Touchette, Timothy Touchette, and Elizabeth (Andrew) Sprunt (nee Touchette), his grandchildren Kara Colley (nee Sadler), Victoria Touchette, Grant Touchette, Lila Touchette, and Jamison Sprunt, and great-grandchildren Silas and Saxon Colley.

Visitation will be held at Ortmann-Stipanovich Funeral Home (12444 Olive Blvd) on Wednesday, July 31st from 5PM to 9PM. Funeral Services will be held at St. Clare of Assisi Parish (15642 Clayton Rd) on Thursday, Aug 1st at 1 PM, with Interment being held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
