Dewitt A. Scott Jr., 71, of Wright City, Missouri, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on November 28, 1953, in St. Louis Missouri.
Known as "the man with the golden heart," Dewitt was always willing to help anyone in need. His unwavering kindness, strong work ethic, and deep devotion to family and friends touched countless lives. Dewitt proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He later spent most of his years working side by side with his father at Scotty's Music. A talented guitarist, Dewitt found joy in music, fishing with his brother Tim, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.
He is survived by his son Robert (Miranda) Scott, brother Timothy (Deborah) Scott, Michael Scott and sister Deborah (Tom) Schlenk. Dewitt was an amazing uncle and a wonderful friend. Dewitt is proceeded in death by his son Dewitt Alvin Scott lll, Father Dewitt Alvin Scott Sr., Mother Mary Scott, Sister Brenda Headrick and Sister Sandy Wall.
A funeral service will be held on August 15, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Dewitt's love, guidance, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
