Beloved husband of Christine Meier (nee Musielak); dear father of Steven (Kimberly) Meier and David (Jennifer) Meier; loving grandfather of Ellen (Bailey) Sukovich, Andrew (Diana) Meier, Tyler Meier, Ashley (Nic) McDermott, Delaney Meier, Makenzey Meier and Remingtyn Meier; great-grandfather of Avery Sukovich, Alaia Meier and Ava Meier; dear son of the late Nick E. Meier and the late Norine Meier Schmidt and stepson of the late Norman Schmidt; dear uncle of Lauren Parker and dear friend to many.

Don graduated from Bishop DuBourg High School (65) and Ranken Technical School in Industrial Electricity-Electronics-Instrumentation (68). Don was retired Air Force Reserve 22 October 1968-15 June 2003.  Don's achievements are Chief Master Sergeant and 1st Sergeant during his military career. He was a member of Thoman-Boothe Legion Post #338. Don was proud to serve his country. He also loved fishing with his sons, building radio control airplanes and rebuilding after a few mishaps. Don volunteered at The Veterans Administration in O'Fallon MO.

Visitation at Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Sunday, June 4 from 2-6 p.m. Funeral service on Monday, June 5 at 10 a.m. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to charity of your choice appreciated.
