Edward Tatsumi Fukunaga passed away on June 5, 2026.

Beloved husband of the late Kim Fukunaga; dear father and father-in-law of Anna Fukunaga and JD Schneider; loving grandfather of Rose and Nathan Schneider; dear uncle and friend.

Edward was born in Puunene, Maui, and proudly served his country for 25 years in the United States Army. Quiet, gentle, and reserved, he had a subtle sense of humor and a deep appreciation for the simple beauty around him. He was a serious coin collector, loved watching birds, enjoyed reading, and caring for the many plants and flowers inside and outside his home. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his devotion to family, and the steady, thoughtful way he moved through life.

Funeral Service at Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Saturday, June 13, 11:30 a.m. Visitation to follow from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
