Born on June 9th, 1938 Eugene Shanor passed away on May 29th, 2024 in Saint Louis, Mo.

Eugene leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Ruth (Swaringen), his sons Charles, Michael and Brian and his daughters Kimberly (Ron), Kristyn (Neil), Pamela (Dennis) and Elizabeth (Mark). He also leaves behind his 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was a kind brother-in-law and uncle.

Eugene was born in Cook, MN to Herbert and Ida (Bender) Shanor and grew up in Round Lake, Il. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert, Herbert, Lewis and twin Joseph.

He served in the Army for 9 years. He retired from his employer in 2001.

In his spare time, he loved fishing and building puzzles. In his younger years he was an excellent bowler. He was also known for watching sports of all kinds with baseball (Saint Louis Cardinals as his favorite team) being the one he enjoyed the most.

His laughter and smile will be remembered dearly by all who knew him. There are no services scheduled at this time.
