With great sadness and heavy hearts, the family of Francesca Cirami announces the passing of a beloved wife, mother and grandmother on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the age of 80.

Born in Monreale (Palermo), Sicily, to Matteo Tumminello and Lina Todaro. She was loved and cared for by her devoted husband, Salvatore Cirami, for 58 years of marriage.  Loving mother and mother-in-law to Antonio Sr. (Stephanie), Rosa Maria (Russ Willey), and Matteo (Jennifer). Proud Nonna (grandmother) to Daniella, Lina, Antonio Jr., Lucas, Santino, Livia, Angelo and Masen.  Dearest sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.

She is survived by four sisters: Pina Cangemi, Rosetta Cassara', Giovanna Terzo, and Mariella Terzo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matteo and Lina Tumminello, her brother, Paulo Tumminello, her sisters, Concetta and Dina Tumminello, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Antonino and Rosalia Cirami, and brother-in-law, Pete Nicastro.

Francesca began working as a seamstress and dressmaker at age 11 in Sicily.  She married and moved to St. Louis in 1966 where she continued to sew and eventually opened her own alteration and dress making shop with her sister-in law called Fashion Design. She loved beautiful clothing and was always impeccably dressed. Francesca was an amazing cook as was evident when she won first place in a spedini contest.  Family, her role as wife, mother and grandmother, and her faith were the most important things to her.

Funeral at Incarnate Word Catholic Church, 13416 Olive Blvd. in Chesterfield on Friday, February 16th, 2024.  Visitation at 9:30am at Incarnate Word Catholic Church followed by Mass at 11am and entombment at Bellerive Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association.
