Mrs. Gail Brown, 75, passed away on Wednesday August 6, 2025. Gail was the beloved wife of The Honorable Fire Department Chief, Chaplain, and Pastor Theodis "Ted" Brown Sr., her husband of nearly 60 years and her childhood sweetheart. Together, they raised five children.

A dedicated public servant, Gail was a retired committeewoman for her county and township and a State Committeewoman for the 13th State Senate District. She was a valued board member and director for the Volunteer Fire Protection Association and a trustee for the Afro-Americans STLCC Board. She was also a co-publisher of the Private Eye newspaper.

Gail was the proud mother of retired Fire Chief and Paramedic Chief, and a retired St. Louis Fireman and Paramedic. She was a loving grandmother to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
