GARY A. HACKWORTH - JUNE 1, 2026

Gary Albert Hackworth passed away on June 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Gary was the beloved husband of Lynette (nee Pfeiffer). He was the father of his cherished son, Gary Lee (Heather) and grandfather "Pappy" to Allison, Austin, Logan and great-grandfather to Wyatt, Quentin and Tatum.

Gary received his BA in 1964 from University of Tennessee and was a proud life-long member of Sigma Chi. He had a successful career as a National Account Manager with Mead Packaging, coordinating all operations with Anheuser Busch. He was an avid golfer and participated in numerous pro-am tournaments at Kingsmill Golf Club in Williamsburg, Virginia. He was especially proud of his hole in one in 2005 at Emerald Greens. He will be remembered and missed by all his amazing golfing buddies. He greatly enjoyed being with his true love, Lynette, and his family. He was a man that lit up any room he walked into and the liveliest person at any party.
