George William "Bill" Jordan of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Nokomis, FL and originally of St. Louis, MO, escaped this earthly realm on Sunday evening, Aug. 14, 2022, at age 79.  He took one final breath while holding hands with his very best friend and beloved wife of 57 years, Virginia L. "Ginny" Jordan (née Hanon.)

Bill's ashes will make a celebratory homecoming to St. Louis—where services will be held September 2, 2022—on what would have been his 80 ^th birthday. A 10:00 a.m. church visitation will precede an 11:00 a.m. Catholic Mass, both taking place at Incarnate Word Parish at 13416 Olive Blvd. in Chesterfield, MO. Interment follows the next day at Calvary Cemetery on September 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Please direct questions regarding services and arrangements to Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home in Creve Coeur, MO.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents George D. Jordan and Nora M. Jordan (née Mannion).

He is survived by his wife, Virginia, whom he married on May 29, 1965, his children, Christopher (Michelle) Jordan and Amanda (Todd) Ponder, as well as his grandchildren, Bryce (Maggie) Jordan, Bailey Jordan, and Airrial Tutton Ponder.

Of his many accomplishments, Bill was proudest of his family and the love that kept them close. Of all his blessings, he was most grateful for the ability to provide generously for his loved ones.
