George W. Kahela, Jr.
February 10, 1939 – October 31, 2022

Former husband of Lee Kahela (nee Perez); dear father and father-in-law of Alice (Mike) Ebert, Michelle (Rafael) Osuba, Carrie (David) Warren and Leilani (Roland) Gutierrez; loving grandfather of Michael and Ally Ebert, Raffi (Stephanie), Gabbi and Leilani Osuba, Kristin, Ryan, Dylan and Ian Warren and Andres, Elena and Mateo Gutierrez; dear son of the late George and Alice Kahela.

George Kahela served in the Navy and retired from both the AirForce Reserve and IBM.   He was an Eagle Scout leader for many years.  He enjoyed dancing, roller skating, skiing, and was also always cracking a joke.  He lived in Metzingen Germany for 22 years and returned to St. Louis in August 2022 to live with his daughter Alice.  He will be sadly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Funeral Service at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Thursday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m. with visitation from 5:00 p.m. until time of service.
