George Lloyd Schrader, of Overland , MO passed away on July 14th, 2022 at age 93. Beloved husband of the late Patsy Lee Schrader (nee Little); dear father and father-in-law of the late George  (Rosemary) Schrader, Norma (Mark) Martin, Mark (Debi) Schrader, Glenn (Donna) Schrader, Paul Schrader and Ruth Ann Benjamin; loving grandfather of Chris (Becky) Schrader, Wesley (Wanda) Schrader, Josh (Jennifer) Harris, Joseph (Tina) Harris, David (Erin) Martin, Joshua Martin, Joseph (Anna) Martin, Jessi (Dallas) Delaney, Anna (Ryan) Cleaver, Danielle (Brian) McGovern, Kyle Schrader, Theresa Becker, Hannah Schrader, Sarah (Connor) Rooney, Nicole (Robert) Van Groll, Megan Benjamin, Katie (Evan) Hurt and Allison Benjamin; loving great-grandfather of 17; dear brother of  the late Howard (Esther) Schrader, the late Allen (late Jeane) Schrader, the late Ray (late Louise) Schrader, Shirley (Don) Herries, the late James Schrader, the late Bill (late Alta) Schrader, the late Ed (Connie) Schrader and Marian (Mel) Weaver; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

George "Fritz" Schrader had a stellar career as a union carpenter building homes for his uncle Ray Schrader and working as a commercial carpenter and superintendent for several St. Louis General Contractors. George and Pat enjoyed fishing and camping and George caught several state record bass. George dedicated his retirement years to helping others. He was a "minute man" at All Souls Catholic Church, a volunteer organizer and work expediter at St. Ann Cemetery and a huge supporter of the Overland Historical Society.

Visitation at the Ortmann Funeral Home, 9222 Lackland Rd., Overland, on Sunday, July 17 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at All Souls Church, 9550 Tennyson Ave., Overland, on Monday, July 18 at 10 a.m. Interment St. Ann Cemetery, Normandy, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agatha's Center or the Overland Historical Society.
