February 22, 1937 – May 18, 2022
Gina Granata Loving Wife, Mother, Nonna, Sister, Aunt, and Friend Gina Granata's love for her life and family will live on forever. Gina peacefully passed away greeted by our loving and gracious Father in heaven, Wednesday May 18th, 2022 at the age of 85 years old. Gina was surrounded physically and in spirit by her beloved family and friends near and far. Who will honor her legacy and celebrate her love by living their lives to the fullest.
After immigrating from Italy and marrying the love of her life, Biagio; Gina (alongside her Father Luigi and sister Rosie) took care of her late mother Assuntina during the days and worked at Via's restaurant, as their most beloved chef, at night. Gina expressed her love through taking care of her family and friends, putting everyone's needs before her own; And always making sure everyone had a full stomach.
The simplest pleasures brought such joy to Gina. Whether it was having a restful evening with her beloved husband, taking care of and spending time with her 4 beautiful grandchildren; hosting dinners at her house with her 2 sons and daughter in-laws, or going shopping and cooking with her dear sister, as well as making endless amounts of cookies that were true labors of love. Gina's spirit will live on forever in all of our hearts until we are together again in the arms of our loving father above.
