Girolamo
Pitti
May 26, 1933 – January 31, 2026
Girolamo "Jerry" Pitti
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Girolamo "Jerry" Pitti, who died peacefully on January 31, 2026 in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 92. Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His life was rooted in hard work, deep love for his family, and quiet pride in all that he did.
Born in Monreale, Sicily, Jerry immigrated to the United States in 1958 in search of a better life. He carried with him a strong work ethic and loyal family values that shaped not only his own life, but the lives of generations that followed.
Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pietra, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on love, respect, commitment, and family. Pietra was his everything, his princess, his life.
He was a proud father to Cathy (Scott) Andrews and Salvatore (MaryAnn) Pitti, a loving grandfather to Justin, Cristina (William), Anna (Robert), Nicolas, Lucas, Carlo, and Logan, and a joyful great-grandfather to Matteo and Leni.
Nothing made Jerry happier than being surrounded by family whether for holidays, celebrations, or simply spending time together. He was also an avid sports fan, especially of the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues, though he enjoyed watching just about any sport, no matter who was playing.
Jerry was a master tailor and took great pride in his craft. He was known for his impeccable style, he believed in dressing well and carrying oneself with confidence, and no one wore a suit quite like Jerry Pitti. His attention to detail and dedication to doing things right showed not only in his work, but in the way he lived his life.
Jerry will be remembered for his warmth, strength, humor, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jerry's life on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 1355 Motherhead Rd., St. Charles, MO 63304. Jerry will be laid to rest at Bellerive Gardens Cemetery, 740 N. Mason Rd., St. Louis, MO 63141.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Evelyn's House, 1000 N. Mason Rd., Creve Coeur, MO 63141, in honor of Jerry's compassionate spirit.
