Gwendolyn Merle (nee Wanamaker) Muzik was born Jan 14, 1926, in Regina, SK, Canada, to the late Helen (Brigden) and Harold Philip Wanamaker. She was predeceased by her siblings Dorothy Thom, Kathleen MacMillan, and Eric P. Wanamaker.
She graduated from Balfour Tech and worked for John Deere until she married Philip Frank Muzik on October 29, 1947, in Regina, SK. They have 5 children; Susan Muzik Ritchie (Harry Bussmann, III), Robert, William (Deborah), Peter (Patricia), and Paul (the late Deanna); 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Gwen was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the British Empire. She was a charter member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Creve Coeur. Gwen lived at The Gatesworth for 10 years and enjoyed every day.
Gwen lived a charmed and happy life, always surrounded by family and friends. Her family will always remember and be grateful for her cheerful spirit and good example of how to enjoy life.
Service will be on Tuesday, 11 a.m. at The Church of St. Michael and St. George, 6345 Wydown Blvd, Clayton, MO 63105. Inurnment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Church of St Michael & St George.
