Helena Zadarnowski, 94, beloved wife, mother and grandmother (Babi), passed away peacefully on May 8, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Zadarnowski and her son Peter Zadarnowski. She is survived by her daughter, Margarita (Terry) Broughton, granddaughter Lexi Zadarnowski, and 2 great granddaughters, Alice and Stormy.

Helena was born in Sosnowiec, Poland on June 8, 1927. After WW2, she immigrated to Montreal, Canada as an indentured servant in pursuit of finding a better life. There she met and married her husband, John and had 2 children. The family eventually moved to the United States, and after several moves, settled in St. Louis.

Helena loved to cook Polish food, sew, read, travel and work in her garden. Her greatest passion later in life was taking care of her granddaughter, Lexi and then spending time with her 2 great granddaughters.
