We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Janice June (Cottar) Davis, a loving mother and beautiful soul.Janice, born June 15, 1937, joined her sister in heaven on August 16, 2026 after a short illness. She was 89 years old.She was born in Belleville, Illinois, moving to California as a teenager. Janice was very proud to have been in the second graduating class at Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland, California. While in California, she began her career with Hartford Insurance. She returned to St. Louis in 1970. She remained a supervisor with Hartford until her retirement.She was generous, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her kindness, unwavering love, and big, beautiful smile will forever live in our hearts.Janice is survived by her only child, Whitney J (Porterfield) Cameron, her only grandchild, Alison Chancey Bloodworth, several nieces and nephews, and brother Kenneth Turner. She was preceded in death by her sister, Glenna (Cottar) Thurman.The family will hold a private memorial. We would like to thank all who prayed for her during her illness. She smiled each time we read your messages to her.
