Jeffrey Michael Vien

Baptized in the hope of Christ's resurrection and strengthened by the Sacraments of the Catholic Church, on March 15, 2022. Beloved son of Shirley Vien and the late J. Rogers Vien; dearest brother of Mary Grady (the late Bill) Thieret, Gary (Mary) Vien, Vickie Vien, Diane Vien (Curtis Melchior), and Fr. John Vien; dear uncle of Michelle (Philip) Williams, Lisa (Mark) Millay, Jennifer (Tim) Littmann, Charlie Thieret, Kathryn Vien, Laura Vien, Gretchen (Josh) Day, and Claire (Miles) Lampo; dear nephew of Jim and Joan Frischauf. Jeff was a much-loved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin, great-uncle, and friend to all.

The Vien Family is grateful for the education, love, and care that Jeffrey received throughout his life at St. Mary's Special School, St. Joseph's Vocational Center, and Brother James Court.

Visitation will be at Ortmann-Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Boulevard, on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 4:00 – 8:00pm. Funeral Mass at St. Monica Catholic Church, 12136 Olive Boulevard, at 10:00am on Saturday, March 19. Burial at St. Monica Cemetery immediately following the Mass.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brother James Court, 2508 St. James Road, Springfield IL, 62707.
