Jenna "Jennifer" Anne
Mayo
March 27, 1986 – June 2, 2026
Jenna “Jennifer” Anne Mayo (née Dempsey),40, of St. Charles, Mo., passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Jenna cherished her husband, Doug, with whom she shared 14 beautiful years of marriage, and their three daughters—Morgan, Hannah, and Madelyn—who were the joy of her life. She bravely battled an aggressive Epithelioid Sarcoma for six months, meeting every moment with courage, faith, and her unmistakably radiant spirit.
Jenna and Doug had an enchanted marriage with God at the center of it all. They made each other smile at all times and always put each other first. They selflessly chose each other in both the big moments and the quiet moments in between.
Jenna’s love for her girls was profound and creative. She poured her heart into motherhood; delighted in playing with her girls and found such joy in watching them learn to ski, swim, ride their bikes, and soar on their swing set. Some of her happiest moments were spent skiing fresh powder down a mountain, on the family boat with Doug and their girls, or out adventuring together in their camper—simple, joy-filled days that became treasured memories.
Born on Holy Thursday, March 27, 1986, to Anne Kelly-Fischer (Jack Fischer) and Jack Dempsey (Tammy), Jenna was a light from the very beginning. She was a beloved daughter-in-law to Dolores and David Mayo; dearest sister to Brandon Dempsey (Adriene), Colleen Dempsey, Kyle Dempsey, Clare Fischer,Gwendolyn Darnell (Dylan), Joseph Fischer, and Garrett Dempsey; the “most fun aunt” to many nieces and nephews; and a treasured friend to countless others.
Jenna was known for changing lives. She had a remarkable gift for seeing the potential God placed within every person she encountered, and helped others recognize that same potential. She was never afraid to be fully herself, and she made room for everyone—welcoming, including, and uplifting people in a way that made them feel seen and valued. Her generosity, kindness, deep faith, joy, and zeal for life were unmistakable
Jenna was a faithful member of Incarnate Word Parish, where she lived out her Catholic faith through prayer, service, and a deep devotion to Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Blessed Mother. Her faith was the foundation of her life and a source of strength and hope to all who knew her.
Jenna was grounded in her family value pillars - faith, family, forgiveness, responsibility, own your body - and lived by memorable truisms that shaped her approach to life and faith. Her favorites of these include: “Never waste a good crisis,” “Beware of the ‘I’s of the devil: inadequacy and isolation,” “Moving from probable to possible,” and “Move from Helicopter to Propeller Parenting.”
Professionally, Jenna spent the majority of her career at Edward Jones, where she worked from her graduation from Truman State University until late 2025. At the time of her diagnosis, she had successfully launched her executive coaching business—a faith-based coaching practice—and was writing her book, Moving at the Pace of the Holy Spirit. She was a nationally recognized professional speaker whose voice, wisdom, and authenticity touched audiences across the country. Through her speaking ministry, she inspired parents to transmit their faith with intention and guided countless people into a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit—whom she herself knew with profound intimacy.
Jenna lived with purpose, loved without hesitation, and led with faith. Her legacy continues in the countless lives she shaped, the family she adored, and the unwavering trust in God that guided her every step.
Jenna is a graduate of Ursuline Academy in Kirkwood, Mo., Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., and received her MBA from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo.
