Jimmy Chaparas, 84, passed away on March 4, 2024 surrounded by family.

Beloved Husband of Shirley (Burkart) Chaparas; Father of David Chaparas, Dawn (Jerry) Wells, Danny Chaparas, and Dale Chaparas. Brother of Gus Chaparas and Dorothy (Don) Farace; Brother-in-law of Diana (John) Deatherage; Grandfather of Stephanie (Eric), David Jr., Zachary (Molly), Sarah (Nick), and Brandon; Great-Grandfather to Hunter and Gracie.

Jim worked as a construction equipment mechanic, and was a man of many skills, building many things for his home and family. Jim never lost his sense of humor, and had an ability to make others smile. Jim and Shirley had a great retirement traveling all over with their travel trailer.

He will be missed by many family and friends.

Visitation will be at Ortmann Funeral Home, 9222 Lackland Rd. Overland, on Thursday, March 7th, 2024 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
