Joan Stanley Eberhardt  (nee Plese) RN, BSN, MA, CCRN, TNS, FAEN on Sunday, March 11, 2018.

Beloved wife of Gary Eberhardt for nearly 58 years and loving mother of Melinda (Lindy) Eberhardt; beloved daughter of her late parents Raymond Plese and June Stucke, dear step-daughter of Catherine Plese, and half-sister of John David Stucke and Carl Allen Stucke.

Joan was a trauma and emergency nurse educator at SSM St. Louis University Hospital and nursing education instructor for the Emergency Nurses Association, an International organization of Emergency Nurses. She made 12 medical mission trips to Bolivia and was the chief nurse for MO-1DMAT and MO1-Midwest 1 Disaster Medical Assistance team, and MoDRS. She provided emergency medical services to victims of hurricanes Gustavo, Ernesto, and Katrina as well as the earthquake in Haiti and the tornado in Joplin MO.

Joan has served on the Missouri Governor's Advisory Council for EMS for 14 years and is an inaugural Fellow of the Academy of Emergency Nursing Services.

Services: Visitation Thursday, March 15, 3-8 pm at Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur MO. Funeral Friday, March 16, 10am Immanuel Lutheran Church 9733 Olive Blvd. Olivette MO with visitation at church from 9-10 am. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
