Joan Warhover Thomas née Martin, of St. Louis, Missouri, was welcomed into heaven on July 31, 2024, at the age of 80. Joan was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit brought joy to the lives of so many. Joan was the devoted wife of Robert Thomas and the late Roy Warhover. She is survived by her two sons, Ken Warhover, formerly married to Tina, and Scott Warhover and wife Millie. Joan was a loving grandmother to Alex, Claire, Kristen, and Tom, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Joan was born on July 21, 1944, to the late Ernie and Lorraine Martin. She grew up with her siblings Susan Noe and the late Bob Martin. Joan shared a special bond with her sister Susan and her brother-in-law Les Noe. She was also cherished by her late brother Bob and his wife Judy Martin. She was loving aunt to Sarah Danzl, Laura Noe, Mike Martin, Steve Martin and preceded in death by Tim Martin. In addition to her immediate family, Joan embraced her role as stepmother to Kim and Janice and their spouses, and grandmother to their children. Her family extended far beyond bloodlines, and she was deeply loved and respected by all who knew her.

Joan's life will be celebrated on August 24th with a gathering of loved ones at Incarnate Word Church, 13416 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63017. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by mass at 11:00 am and luncheon to follow.
