JoAnn Rose Thien (nee Shebetta)
August 26, 1947 - March 22, 2025

JoAnn Thien passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on the early evening of March 22, 2025. Born on August 26, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri, JoAnn was the cherished only child of Joseph Shebetta and Ann Shebetta (nee Lafata). She spent her formative years in Berkeley and Hazelwood, Missouri.

JoAnn shared 52 years of devoted marriage with her beloved husband, Edward Bernard Thien Jr. (Ed). She was a loving and supportive mother to her son, Bradley Thien, and a caring mother-in-law to Kenneth McLaughlin. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Lynne Thien and Gail Linn. JoAnn held her extended family close to her heart, including her dear aunt Rose Lafata, aunt and uncle Joseph and Josephine Palmero, and her cousin Fran Palmero.

Known for her fun-loving spirit and infectious laughter, JoAnn had a gift for making every holiday special. She embraced life's celebrations with joy and enthusiasm, creating lasting memories for those around her.

A mass to celebrate JoAnn's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 31, 2025, at St. Ann Catholic Church, located at 7530 Natural Bridge Rd, St. Louis, MO 63121.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Ann Catholic Church, in honor of JoAnn's memory.
