Beloved husband of Jane Clendenin (nee Mooney); dear father and father-in-law of Darren (Gina) Clendenin and Corey Clendenin; dear grandfather of Neil and Nova; dear brother of Rita; dear brother-in-law of Robert (Cheryl) Mooney, Jack (Barb) Mooney, Bryan (Bonnie) Mooney, Joan (Jack) Clayton, Judy (Patrick) Hanses, Joyce (Mark) Dorsey, Jennifer (Kurt) Brinson and Janet (Bill) Saulich; our dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.

John was a lover of music. He instilled that love into his children. John enjoyed golf and watching sports. He and Jane attended the symphony with season tickets and went to classical guitar concerts. He volunteered making sandwiches at St. Peter and Paul's and traveled to Russia, China, Iceland, Tahiti, Guatemala and Ireland.

Visitation at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Fri., Dec. 9, 4-8 p.m. Mass at St. Clare of Assisi Church, 15642 Clayton Rd. Ellisville, Sat. Dec. 10, 10:30 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or Botanical Gardens.
