John "Mike" Girard went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Beloved Husband of Diane Girard (nee Hawthorne); Dearest father of Benjamin Girard; Cherished son of the late L. Virginia Girard (nee Barnes) and the late Edward W. Girard.; Dear brother and brother-in-law of Raymond (Carol) Girard, Patricia (Brian) Strange, Joyce Colombo, and Gary (Virginia) Hawthorne; Uncle to 5 nephews and nieces, 12 great nephews and nieces, and many great, great nephews and nieces.

Mike was an easy going, quiet, caring man who loved a bit of quiet mischief with his siblings.  He was most comfortable with a small circle of family and friends, his wife Diane of 42 years and son Ben.  Much of his time was spent on a few long held old vehicles that needed lots of attention – trucks, tractors, and sports cars – some of which he was happy to share with any of his nephews or nieces that would take them. But mostly he liked being on the family farm, mowing the fields, at his home away from home.

Mike was a long-time member at Covenant Presbyterian Church and retired from McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing after many years of service.

Visitation at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2143 N. Ballas Rd, Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1pm followed by the memorial service at 2pm.
