Joe truly lived his Catholic faith, evidenced through his generosity and kindness to others, his sterling character, and his unwavering belief in God through much adversity in his life. He was a kidney donor to his son and regularly participated in blood drives. Joe was admired and loved by all who knew him.
Throughout the years he helped his wife organize church bake sales, gather and distribute Thanksgiving baskets, and assist with many Parrish and Diocesan celebrations and Jubilees.
His passions were gardening and canning tomatoes, tending to his roses and camping with family, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his grandkids.
He was an avid coffee drinker, loved his White Castle burgers, spent summers outside BBQing while enjoying a beer or two! His parents immigrated from Cicily, Italy in the early 1900s and instilled in him a love for all things Italian!
Funeral Mass at All Souls Catholic Church, 9550 Tennyson Ave., Overland, Wednesday, April 5 at 10 a.m. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Unbound or Alzheimer's Association appreciated.
