Joseph "Joe" Warren Colegrove
Beloved husband of Connie Flagg; friend of Stephanie Rinaldi; dear father and father-in-law of the late Joseph Hoffman, Shawn (Dr. Daniel) Johnson, the late David (Kim) Colegrove and Julie (Joe) Hundelt Oglesby; dear grandfather of 12; great-grandfather of
6; dear brother of the late June Stewart and the late Earl Colegrove, Jr.; our dear uncle, cousin, and friend.
Sergeant Joseph W. Colegrove, 87 years, passed away on April 5, 2024. Sergeant Colegrove grew up in Pagedale, Missouri. As a proud patriot, he was extremely proud of his service in the United States Navy serving during the Korean War. After an honorable discharge, he chose a path of law enforcement following in the footsteps of his father and brother onto the University City Police Department. At the time of his retirement in 1991, the Colegrove family had an officer on the University City Police Department for 75 years. He honored that legacy with the highest level of commitment.
He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Maryville University graduating with honors. He spent his retirement enjoying fishing, country music line dancing, gardening his famous tomatoes, and enjoying time with family and friends, especially the love of his life, Connie Flagg.

Visitation at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Service at 11:00 a.m. Entombment Bellerive Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations to Disabled Veterans.
