Obituary

Joyce Ann Mimlitz (nee Watson) passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025 with her family by her side. Born September 18, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the second of three children born to the late Walter S. Watson of Martin, Tennessee, and Margaret R. Watson (nee Callahan) of St. Paul, Missouri.

Joyce was preceded in death by her dear brother Walter Watson and sister-in-law Phyllis Murphy. Beloved wife of Joseph P. Mimlitz; dear mother and mother-in-law of Anne (Orlando Segura) Mimlitz, Jennifer (Van-Lear) Eckert and Michelle (Mark) Snyder; loving grandmother of Alexander Eckert, Joseph Snyder and Megan Snyder; dear sister and sister-in-law of Patrick (Denise) Watson; our dear aunt, cousin and friend.

In 1968, Joyce earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from St. Louis University. She dedicated nearly five decades of her life helping those in pain and suffering. Her kindness, compassion and empathy extended to all animals that entered her home, but particularly her Scottish and West Highland Terriers.

Visitation at Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Boulevard, Creve Coeur, Missouri on Wednesday, January 22 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Private service will be held at St. Monica's Church in Creve Coeur, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society of Missouri appreciated.
