Joyce Marie
Receniello
March 15, 1937 – October 11, 2024
Joyce Marie Receniello 15 March 1937 – 11 October 2024 (87 years)
Dearest wife of Arsenio T. Receniello. Daughter of the late Hermann and Ligouri Willenbrink. Sister of the late Donald Willenbrink, the late Richard Willenbrink, the late James (Jimmy Boy) Willenbrink and sister Doris (Dinwiddie). Dear mother and mother-in-law of Anthony (Jill) Receniello and Michael (Gudrun) Receniello, Ligouri (Mike) Arbisi and Thomas (Debbie) Receniello. Adoring grandmother to Tyler, Justin, Trevor, Paul, David, and Gina. Great grandmother to Liberty.
Joyce was a wonderful wife who supported her husband's successful business venture (Arsenio's Fine Tailoring) for over 40 years. Joyce was an exceptional mother to her children and was one of the wisest and sweetest women we have ever known. Joyce's Downs Syndrome brother Jimmy Boy, called his sister, "God's Mother", due to her caring disposition. Joyce loved her children and grandchildren dearly and freely offered love, wisdom, and counsel in abundance. Joyce was a fantastic wife, homemaker, logistician, budget analyst, counselor, referee, disciplinarian, chef, and a devout Catholic. Joyce was a longtime parishioner and employee at Incarnate Word Church as the planning administrator for a new multimillion dollar church which was completed in 1983. She was an exceptional scheduler, coordinator, collaborator, and was instrumental in building the new church. Monsignor Hermann at Incarnate Word Church stated, "This was the Church that Joyce Built". After Joyce's retirement from Incarnate Word Church, her Pro-Life mission and passion was counseling at risk women with unintended pregnancies at Birthright St Louis. Joyce believed in the right of every pregnant woman to give birth and the right of every child to be born. We are so proud of her many professional and personal accomplishments which are too many to list.
Joyce was loved by all who knew her, will be greatly missed, not forgotten, and will be waiting for us in heaven. "Death is nothing else but going home to God, the bond of love will be unbroken for all eternity." Mother Teresa.
