Joyce A. Stifle (nee Connors)
June 20, 1940 - May 11, 2025

A golden woman is hard to define—but that's exactly what Joyce Stifle was.  Our golden woman, Joyce, left us peacefully on May 11, 2025.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband James Stifle, her devoted parents Richard and Jane Connors, and her dear siblings Robert and Jane. Joyce's heart lived in her family. She thrived in the love of her children—Denise (Sam), James, and Pamela. She laughed with her granddaughters Barbra, Jena, Becky and Kam-bam. Played joyfully with her great—grandchildren Bradyn and Brilei. She shared a deep bond with her brother Richard (Linda), and she treasured her nieces Tara, Katie, and Kelly.

Joyce's warmth, wit, and unwavering love left an imprint on all who knew her. Though hard to classify, one thing is certain: she was golden.

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Visitation at the Ortmann Funeral Home, 9222 Lackland Rd. on Wednesday, May 21 from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Service at 11:30 am. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
