Obituary

Joyce R. Watts (nee Williams) Baptized into the hope of Christ’s resurrection Fri., June 26, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Robert Watts Sr.; dear mother and mother-in-law of Katherine (the late Robert) Kozlowski, Robert Watts Jr., Debbie (Brian) Dufaux and Janet (Bob) Delargy; dear grandmother of (the late Douglas) Candace, Robin, Valerie, Lisa, Lynda, Nicole, Amy, Heather, Jamie, Jacqueline and Brittany; great-grandmother of 26, great-great-grandmother of 3; our dear aunt, great- aunt, cousin and friend.

Family was the center of mom’s life. Although she worked in her early years at Southwestern Bell as a chief operator, she later embraced the opportunity to stay home and focus on raising her children. She was an avid reader and lover of books. She donated her time volunteering for many different organizations over the years. She helped set up the initial library at Kratz Elementary School and volunteered there many years, eventually transferring to Marvin Elementary School finishing her 30+ years total. She along with her late husband Bob ran the Friday night bingo at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for many years. She volunteered at Mark Twain Manor nursing home calling bingo for the residents. She delivered meals for Ritenour Meals on Wheels for many years. She was always there to root for the home team whether it was the St. Louis Cardinals or her grandchildren and their activities. She absolutely loved the Clydesdales, especially watching them prance around the field at Busch Stadium on opening day. She loved playing games like Acey Duecy, Skip-bo, Uno, and bingo with her daughters and grandchildren. She never turned down a glass of wine and enjoyed celebrating many birthdays and events at beautiful Missouri wineries. She was our family’s most precious treasure and will be missed immensely.
