Kap E. Chung M.D. died peacefully on October 5 at home with family by his side.

He graduated from Yonsei University (Severance) Medical School in 1962. Afterwards he did his surgical internship in Chicago followed by his residency in St. Louis. He forged a beautiful life for his family in southeast Missouri prior to his retirement to the St. Louis area. He loved the local zoo and St. Louis Art Museum — a place he would bring his family over many years of his life.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Dr. Young R. Chung. He is deeply missed by his four children, Grace, Geemee (Paul); Gene (Emily); Gena (Roma) and 4 grandchildren. He also has 3 beloved siblings and many nieces and nephews.

His spirit will live on through his children and grandchildren and he will forever be in our hearts.

Funeral Mass Wed., Oct. 8, 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Kim Church, 13996 Olive Blvd. Chesterfield, MO 63017. With visitation one hour prior to Mass. Interment Bellerive Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either St. Andrew Kim Parish in Chesterfield, Missouri; or the St. Louis Art Museum Foundation.
