Kathleen "Kate" Malone Rhodey passed away peacefully on October 15 th at the age of 88. Kate was
born on December 18, 1935, in Buffalo, NY to the late James and Eleanor Malone. She married
her husband John S. Rhodey on February 9, 1957. They enjoyed almost 50 years of marriage
until John's passing in April 2006. She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Gramlich
and her brother James Malone. Kathleen is survived by her daughter Pam Duffy of Chesterfield,
her daughter Debbie Rhodey of Maryland Heights and her son Tim Rhodey of Richmond
Heights; three grandchildren, Mackenzie (Chris) Seiffert, Shane (Chelsea) Duffy and Jackson
Rhodey; two great grandchildren, Ben Seiffert and Emily Seiffert; her sister Margaret Measer of
Buffalo, NY and her sister Eleanor Torres of Buffalo, NY.

Kate loved dogs – especially golden retrievers. She had a great sense of humor and was very
proud of her Irish heritage. She enjoyed reading, crime dramas, games shows, and spending
time with family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Comfort Dog Ministries, c/o Immanuel
Lutheran Church, 115 S. Sixth Street, St. Charles, MO 63301. This organization brings comfort
dogs to the children at the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery.

Visitation at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Fri., Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. then to Incarnate Word Church for 11:30 a.m. Mass. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
