Larry Allen Holtz, a man who lived to bring laughter to others, passed away on June, 9, 2025, at the age of 73 in St. Louis, Missouri, a city he called home his entire life.

Larry shared 27 meaningful years with his late wife, Karen Holtz (nee Katich). Their lives were marked by their loyalty and love for one another. Through all of life's ups and downs, they stood by each other, creating a foundation of companionship and lasting memories. They are survived by their beloved son, David (Ashley).

Larry adored talking with his brother, Randy, with whom he shared a lifetime of laughs, stories and brotherly mischief. Larry was the son of August and Ruth Holtz and brother of Gary, all of whom preceded him in death.

Larry had a passion for sports, rock music, and his dog, Poppins. Whether he was cheering on a game, cranking up classic tunes or relaxing with his pups, Larry enjoyed the simple things in life. Nothing brought him more joy than to make his friends and family laugh. Silly humor was his specialty and he shared it freely with everyone he met.

A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date. In honor of Larry, the family invites you to share a favorite joke, funny story or happy memory with one another, and to keep finding reasons to laugh. That's exactly how Larry would have wanted to be remembered.
