Laurence D. Eisenberg "Lanny" Sat. Oct. 8, 2022

Husband of the late Michaela "Micki" Eisenberg; brother of Kenneth Eisenberg; uncle to Michael Eisenberg.

Lanny was born in Brooklyn New York on Dec. 7, 1940. He came to St. Louis in 1964 to work for McDonnell Aircraft as an engineer on the Gemini Space Project. He held degrees in both Aeronautical and Aerospace engineering and was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. After working on Gemini, he worked on the F4, F15, DC-10 and F/A-18 programs. As a principal engineer on the F/A-18 tail modification program he traveled to Navy and Marine bases both in the US and abroad to perform duties. Lanny loved to teach and gave seminars on basic engineering mechanics and procedures. As an aviation enthusiast he collected aircraft and airline memorabilia. He was a Charter member of the St. Louis Aviation Museum in Creve Coeur and was instrumental in the donation of artwork to the USS Intrepid Museum in New York.
