Lois Veinfurt Durawski (nee Nettrour)

Lois was born Jan 25, 1931 in Pittsburgh, PA to Paul W Nettrour, Sr. and Janet H Nettrour. She graduated from Bellevue Senior High School where she was active in Chorus and Choir at 1st Presbyterian Church, Bellevue, PA.  Summers were spent at Bell Farm, Moon Township, PA and Chatauqua Lake, NY. She graduated from Stephen's College, Columbia, MO (Class of 1950) where she met her first husband, Fred George Veinfurt, Sr. They married September 9, 1950, Bellevue, PA.

Lois was active in Krkwood Kultivators Garden Club, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Job's Daughters Bethel #5 and Kirkwood DeMolay. Her hobbies included Gardening, Sewing, Knitting, Cooking, Camping and Organizing neighborhood parties.  She worked at Golde's Department Store in Warson Woods earning a Cinderfellow Award for her work recovering from the fire. She later worked at Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate in Kirkwood. Lois also enjoyed going RVing with her Good Neighbor Sam's Club.

She is survived by her Children:

Julia C McClenning (formerly Young) (Dustin),

Frederick Veinfurt (Kelly),

Adam Veinfurt (Shana),

Nicholas Peick and Madelyn Peick.

Maxwell Krueger, Sullivan Krueger,

Cassidy Young, Connor Young, Cayden Young,

Alexander Haddock, Amelia Haddock and Kevin Peick. And Great Great Grandchild, Arrow-Lynn Young.

Lois is predeceased by her parents, Paul W Nettrour Sr. (Janet), brothers, Paul W Nettrour, Jr, (Hope) and Charles E Nettrour (Mary Lou), sons, Fred Veinfurt, Jr. and Richard Veinfurt (Jan), grandchildren Jean Chambers and Paul Chambers, and her husband's Fred Veinfurt Sr and John Durawski.

Lois passed away January 30, 2024 at the age of 93 quietly in her sleep after several years dealing with dementia.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Services at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, MO on Saturday February 10, 2024.
Visitation from 10 am - 11 am
Funeral Service at 11 a.m.
Interment in Bellerive Gardens Cemetery.
